Royal Eltham District Scout HQ is located in New Eltham which is in London Borough of Greenwich, South East London.

The centre is within 5 minutes walking distance from the nearest train station and a 25 minutes journey into London Bridge, Charing Cross or Cannon Street. It gives the opportunity for easy exploration of central London with Westminster Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, The Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, Buckingham Palace, Museums, Baden-Powell House, by tube, or bus.

Local attractions include: Greenwich Park, The National Maritime Museum, The Thames Barrier, The Cutty Sark, The Royal Observatory

The Site

The building comprises of a large modern kitchen, a main hall, ladies and gents toilets, male and female showers. There are three small offices which can be used for sleeping.

A television and a video recorder is available.

There is plenty of camping space, with a traditional camp fire circle. The site is ideal for patrol camping.

On site activities include a climbing and abseiling tower, shooting and archery - all may be used under proper instruction which can be provided by the District subject to advanced notice.
